How to Boost Creativity (and Why)

As the name implies, we are interested with creativity and adding it anyway that we can. For most people it is an elusive habit and one that requires a lot of time and effort. Unlike things like focus and concentration, creativity is a bit more nuanced.

This is one of the reasons so much work has been done on creativity and how it might be applied to people who are professionals. Some of the best research has been done on flow states and how they impact the brain. Flow-based sports like surfing and others are allowing for more creativity according to scientists, but there are other ways as well.

In this article we will cover some of the alternative sources of creativity that people can use in order to get the best results from their work. While we are going to focus on external supplements or tools that you can use for this purpose, we are going to also remind you that there is no magic pill.

Boosting Creativity with Psychedelics

If you have been following any of the health trends over the past few years, you have probably recognized there is a large group of people who are interested in getting more creative with the use of psychedelics like peyote. The peyote cactus has been used by cultures for many thousands of years, but the main psychoactive ingredient is mescaline.

The people who are using mescaline in the scientific lab (James Fadiman) have found that peyote can be a useful tool for people who are trying to increase their level of creativity. The studies they did in the 1960s have been able to influence new studies that incorporate fMRI and other tools to get a clear picture.

Of course, there are other tools for increasing creativity like shrooms and acid, which are considered to be different, but only slightly so. We have a large group of people who are using these tools compared to peyote and the results seems to be pretty good. It might be because shrooms (buy magic mushrooms discretely if interested) tend to contain psilocybin and psilocin which can stimulate the nervous system. This is the reason why magic mushrooms might cause heightened emotions and senses that can enable people to feel happy and creative.

Mushrooms are almost legalized in certain regions and can be bought online through seller websites (click here to learn more). Moreover, there are many people who are calling for them to no longer be banned and using them not only to boost creativity but for pain management, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc.

Other Tools for Creativity

As we mentioned earlier in this post, it is important to look to flow states for anyone who is interested in improving their creativity. There are many ways of using flow as a tool for improving creativity, but consistently hitting a flow state is the number one and the most effective for someone to use reliably.

If you are a creative type and you have not setup and environment that allows you to reach a state of flow in a consistent manner, it is time that you consider some of the alternative methods that have been used (like activities) that will get you there.
